CYA Course Mini Power Training
Description
CYA Presents: A Mini Christ-Centered Power Yoga Training, Inspiration for Individual Practitioners and Yoga Instructors
This mini training includes over 5 hours from Christian Yoga Assocation Master Trainers and Educators: Rie Frilund Skårhøj of CrossYoga a Registered CYA School (R-CYAS), and Michelle Thielen of CYA & YogaFaith, a Registered CYA Master School (R-CYAMS) and is a available immediately.
More than 5 hours includes:
- Introduction to Power Yoga and Christian Power [40 min]
- Discuss + Practice with Rie [90 min]
- Anatomy with Rie [45 min]
- The Anatomy of Power: Exploring the body with a focus on muscles and strengthening your practice
- Discuss + Practice with Michelle [90 min]
- Power Sequences [45 min]
- Integrating Strength: Demystifying Arm Balances, Salutations and integrating Strength in any posture and sequence
I enjoyed this training very much! I immediately started teaching power yoga – implementing the tools from Rie and Michelle right away. I really took away from these trainings to think outside of the box and have fun with it. Thank you for the wonderful training.

Your Trainers:
Rie Frilund Skårhøj is a CYA Master Trainer (R-CYMT) and the Founder of CrossYoga a Registered CYA School (R-CYAS) which is Christian Yoga Association’s only International School! Rie holds a master’s degree in social science and two years of Theology training. She is also a fitness instructor and experienced yoga trainer at the 500-hour level (E-RYT500) specializing in yoga history and philosophy as well as yoga anatomy, vinyasa and power. She is an author, speaker, wife and mom of 3 beautiful children. She has authored several books, including Meditative Movements and Learning CrossYoga; A Guide to Christian Yoga.
Michelle Thielen is the Founder of CYA & YogaFaith, a Registered CYA Master School (R-CYAMS). She has taught hundreds of Teacher Trainings, holds many fitness and dance certifications, is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) as well as a Minister through the Christian Global Outreach Ministries. She is the author of the Christian Yoga book: Stretching Your Faith Practicing Postures of Prayer to Create Peace, Balance and Freedom as well as Exit Wilderness, A Road Map Out of Depression and Hopelessness.
