Pause
Breathe deeply.. He is taking us all somewhere – those of us who struggle with a mess in
the mind.. So many names – depression, anxiety, bipolar, schizophrenic, ptsd, disorders of
all sorts. We can feel alone, like no one understands. We all face these battles uniquely, it
hits us all in different ways. That is why it can be so hard to find those who fully relate.
I mean, how can someone fully understand when we ourselves do not sometimes recognize
what is going on in our own minds?
But there is one, and He is the One. He is the One who knit us in our mothers wombs and set us
apart before time began. He is the One who created us for a time such as this..For this moment by moment.
He created us to rely on HIS strength in our weakness.
We are all learning as we go, but one thing is for certain… learning with Him and leaning on
Him is vital. It is our very umbilical cord to the source of the Love He gives. He becomes
our pulse..and He has a steady heart. We need fix our hearts on Him and decide to abide in
Him when all else is crumbling within us.
Today I encourage you to ask God to soften your heart. Those scared and hard places
within and to speak to those confused places.
Ask the Father to speak to you here and now deep within you. To pour in His revelation light. Ask the Father to open your heart so you can consider His words to you and to push past your opinion of yourself so can trust His truth.
Our opinions of ourselves even on a good day can be lies.
What does God say about you dear son or daughter of Christ?
He says you are a chosen person, a royal priesthood, a special person for His own possession.
That is who you are. I encourage you to memorize 1 Peter 2:9 throughout this week and we
will go back to this verse frequently over the next days.
This is who you are no matter what your mind tells you.
Write it down, sing it out, cry it out, scream it out.
Declare it over yourself.
And breathe. He has got you in every moment.
